Thank you, members of the House/Senate Rep/Sen Cameron O'Brien of Bonny Eagle HS, as the Chair of the Committee on Transportation, we discussed this bill in great detail.  These shops will bring to our State millions of dollars of tax revenue.  Rather than allow the illegal sale, this would allow us to regulate the sale as well as have the State receive a new revenue stream

If we allow marijuana shops to open all over Maine there will be one on every corner in our State.  This will lead to more use, and most likely have younger and younger people gaining access to this product.

Molly Sullivan of Fryeburg Academy, I urge my fellow members to support the Minority Ought to Pass Report. The State will regulate the sale, we can set the standard to the number in each community, and create penalties for sale to minor.  We are starting this new industry and we can set the rules.
