House of Representatives Members

   

There are up to 151 members of the House of Representative. The Members of the House are the only people allowed speaking on the floor of the House. They are acting as though they are representating a district in the State of Maine them. Each member serves as a member of one of the Joint Standing Committees.   Everyone not elected or selected to a positon will be a member of the House of Representatives.

 

REQUIREMENT

Have not be elected or selected to any other position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a member of a committee that will be assigned by YMCA Office.
  • Actively participate in the Public Hearings and Committee Work Sessions
  • Actively participate in the debate on the floor of the House.
  • Take an active part for all votes that are taken on the Floor of the House
  • Make it a point to speak on a least one issue during the weekend.

 

 

SELECTION

All those not elected or selected to a position will serve as members of the House of Representatives.

 

The House of Representatives Members WILL NOT ATTEND the Leadership Training on Thursday
