Thank you, members of the House/Senate as the House Chair of the committee on Transportation we discussed this bill in great detail. The inceased usage of cell phones in vehicles in Maine is growing, and the amount of accidents caused by driver inattention is also on the rise. These two facts are closely related and the way to cut the amount of accidents down would be to make it illegal to use a phone while operating a motor vehicle. |
