Delegation Information

Getting Started

STEP 1: (Advisor)

Find an adult that will lead the group, doesn’t have to be a teacher. It could be a parent, or a YMCA Staff person.

STEP 2: (Participants)

Get a group of students together to form a delegation. Delegations can come from your school, or your YMCA.

STEP 3: (Meetings)

Delegations can meet as often as your group wants. We have some groups that meet weekly all year to prepare, and others that meet a couple of times prior to the training session and then before the Augusta Session. This is up to your group.

STEP 4: (Write Bills and Run for Office)

Delegations work to develop bills, and decide what offices they would like to run for at the Training Session
